The Gastein valley is part of the Sportwelt amadé and offers over 220 km of perfectly groomed slopes for the finest skiing and snowboarding fun. With a lengthe of 11 km and a difference in altitude of 1440 m, the Gasteinertal ski region has one of the longest runs in the Eastern Alps. The public ski bus takes you comfortably to all areas for snowboarding and skiing around Bad Gastein (free of charge with a valid ski pass).
The largest combined ski resort in Gastein (860 – 2,300 m in altitude) with descents of more than 1,000 m difference in altitude. Ideal for leisurely skiers. For beginners we recommend the Judalift in the Skizentrum Angertal. The suspension bridge on the Stubnerkogel offers a special kick for hikers and skiers alike.
Skiing in Sportgastein at 1,590 – 2,650 m in altitude – the highest ski resort in the Ski amadé and is located right on the edge of the Hohe Tauern national park. Skiers are delighted by over 24 kilometres of slopes. After 1,000 metres of dream-like powder snow or mogul runs, you will be back in the valley of the Sportgastein. Please pay attention to the warning signs and barriers!
The first ski area in the Gastein valley offers a wide range of family-friendly options with varied routes (850 – 2,033 metres above sea level) for beginners to experts, maximum skiing comfort with state-of-the-art cable car and lift facilities and a particularly rustic ski hut atmosphere.
