Equipment and cross-country ski school in the Salzburger Land

If you bring your own cross-country skis, you can conveniently store them overnight in our ski cellar. If you are travelling without equipment, it is possible to hire equipment from the hotel at a charge.

For all those that are at the beginning of their Nordic skiing career, we recommend a course at the Gastein cross-country ski school. Those who are interested can also get a taste of the sport of biathlon here. Laser biathlon is also available at the Bad Hofgastein facility.

Depending on snow conditions, cross-country skiers can choose from numerous trails around Bad Gastein. Approx. 45 km of groomed cross-country tracks on varied routes are available from Dorfgastein to Sportgastein. There are also 2 floodlit tracks and a dog track.

• Böcksteiner track: at 1,100 metres in altitude, 5.5 kilometres, difficulty: easy to intermediate, floodlit until 9 pm
• Böckstein dog track Ullmannwiese: at 1,100 metres in altitude, 2 kilometres, difficulty: easy
• Golf track: at an altitude of 860 m, 1.04 kilometres, difficulty: easy
• Sportgastein track: at an altitude of 1.7 kilometres, 2.8 kilometres and 6.2 kilometres with various grades of difficulty (Day tickets € 4,00, weekly ticket € 20,00)

• Kurpark track: 1.7 kilometres, snow sure through snow-making machines and floodlit until 9 pm, laser biathlon
• Sportplatz track: 2.7 kilometres, difficulty: easy
• Achen track: 4.2 kilometres, difficulty: easy to intermediate
• Angertal track: 8 kilometres, free to use, difficulty: intermediate

• Unterberg cross-country track: 1.1 kilometres, difficulty: easy
• Mühlbach loipe: 2.5 kilometres, free use of the tracks, difficulty: easy
